XL Size For Landscapes

"Untitled" 2017 - 194cm x 130cm Working on duality, I came to work on larger canvases to convey the idea of scenery, to draw the viewer to immerse into a less usual format. This new work is made with sand from the beach of Spanish Bay in California (near Monterey). Bright and thin, this sand was like a treasure to me as it was forbidden to withdraw some of it from the beach. ...I did! This bucket of sand remained like a friend coming along to my journey on my various trips since 2008. No more Spanish Bay sand, Mister Sandman!
